I’m about to make around 30 doors for my garage. I’m going to build a couple of jigs to help speed the process. Basically a 3/4″ sheet of ply with two boards at a right angle on two adjoining sides.
Can I apply any finish to the jig to prevent the glue in the joints from sticking the doors and the jig together? Or do I just use about 120 small pieces of wax paper?

What kind of garage has 30 doors, if any kind?
What kind of glue?
Yellow carpenters glue will pop off a varnished surface.
I assume that the Type II and III will also.

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
24 actually, I exagerated. That's only 12 openings. It's a 25' wall with cabs, floor to ceiling. I'm in the process of remodeling my garage. Drywalled the ceiling, covered the walls, painted the floor, insulated the whole thing and built a full wall of shelving/cabinets. It will be my pride and joy when I'm done.
Type II probably. I have some varnish, I'll try that. Maybe a little paste wax too.
thanks,joe
So these are not all passage doors! I was trying to imagine a garage with 30 passage doors 3068! Cabinets makes sense now.

Actually, they're regular garage doors. I have to make room for my car collection.

Sure thing there Mr. Leno!

Paste wax, non stick cooking spray, and waxed paper are all I've ever needed.

I lay a sheet of plastic over the table, then screw down my jig blocks which hold the plastic in place.
I know a guy who used melamine for the top and then waxed it regular.
