I am about to build another house and want to put wood floors down on the slab.
I am looking for input. Pergo (and the like) is easy and I could avoid alot of hassles by purchasing laminates but I am not thrilled with the look over expansive areas, looking more for solid. I have never done the glue down method. Through research I have found that the National oak
. recommends plywood first then the solid…that is out of the question.
Does the urethane glue fail at all?
I have noticed that 3/4″ is not recommended.I can only assume that the strength of the cup is more than the strength of the glue.&
#160; Is this true?
I will be putting down 6 mil before the slab is poured..is this enough for a moisture barrier?
Any tricks or secrets or complaints would be appreciated.
