*I did a little searching to try to find out what a vierendeel truss was. I came up with the following websites for any of you that are interested:http://www.nusteel.demon.co.uk/woodchurch.htmlhttp://www.nusteel.demon.co.uk/appledore.htmlhttp://www.nusteel.demon.co.uk/chilham.htmlhttp://www.nusteel.demon.co.uk/brabourne.htmlAt least now I have an idea of what they look like. David - Try talking to a glulam manufacturer. Thay may have dealt with this before and already have some ideas to help you out.
*There is a timber framing company in Port Townsend Washington I have some familiarity with that does quite a bit of work with glulams using pretty cool hidden metal connectors. Timbercraft. They have a web site I believe. I'm not sure about this specific application but I'm sure they are..Otherwise consult the Timber Framer's Guild http://www.tfguild.org
*Here is a site worth looking at for some more info on structural considerations in truss design. http://nisee.ce.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/browse_godden?group=GoddenF57
