I AM BUILDING A HOME IN THE MIDWEST (WISCONSIN) AND AM GOING TO DO PAINT GRADE INTERIOR TRIM. IT SEEMS OTHER HOMES AROUND HERE WITH PAINT GRADE TRIM ALL CRACK AND OPEN UP ALONG CAULK JOINTS, ESPECIALLY IN WINTER.I WANT TO CAULK CASING TO JAMBS,BASE TO WALLS, ETC. DOES ANYONE A SECRET OR GOOD CAULKING TO USE.THANKS MACHODUR

Mac, just keep your house moist. Use a humidifier. Nothing will crack then.

Hey Mac
I'd use a premium quality (Franklin or equiv.) painter's caulk-
siliconized acrylic caulk. The smaller the gaps,the less likely to crack.
Blast on with smallest nozzle cut that works. Wipe off with a damp cloth-seamless.
Can't resist this on Saturday night: heard recently on a home improvement show hosted by a young lady: " There just isn't enough good caulk out there!"
