Hello all,
Along with years of remodeling fun, my “fixer home” came with a number of the previous owners power tools. Primarily 3 corded hand drills, and a couple of hand sanders.
I’m estimating these tools to be from the 60’s (give or take a decade). I know they are ungrounded, and I suspect that they are not insulated. They do work well and I’m sure that they could keep going for quite a while.
My question is: what I should do with them? Can they be made safe? Are there places/people who would enjoy them as “antiques”?
One of the drills is unlabeled, one is a Porter-Cable, and the third is a Miller’s Falls.
The sanders are Craftsmen (one palm, one disk)
Any thoughts would be appreciated?
thanks,
aaron

you can send them to me and i'll use them with my shop classes...
just an idea :)
Don't use the ungrounded one's outside...in a rainstorm.....while it's lightening.
Now you're safe!
Get to work.

For the most part, it isn't tools that are unsafe, it's the operators.
I'll open a little tool museum if you'll send them to me. LOL Especially the PC drill. I'd like to use - er, demonstrate it.

Thanks for the comments. I'll put the tools to good use except in thunderstorms.

And don't drill upside down over your head without wearing an electron apron. All those little charged particles will spill out and then all your babies will be born naked..
