Good product for cleaning nail guns?

Hey all,
We’ll be servicing our tools tomorrow–changing compressor oil, blowing out saws, and cleaning nail guns. On the last issue, I’ve been using Paslode aerosol gun cleaner, but it’s $5 a can and evaporates so quickly you can’t scrub. Is there any particular solvent or cleaner you find works well for this without eating up metal or rubber parts (i.e., the O-rings)?
TIA

I use WD-40. Works really good and doesn't evaporate.
What the problem is?
Yeah. If they're just super nasty, which is rare save for maybe the nose on a roofer, carb cleaner makes quick work of the chunks.
But for day to day grunge, I love Breakfree. Or CLP as its sometimes called. Gun stores have it, usually sold as the "military gun cleaner" which it is, and it stinks, but dang it works good, and it sticks around for a good long while so you can wipe it off if you want or let it soak to break things up. (But make sure you wipe it off good on a trim gun, and shoot a couple of nails into a scrap before you go using it on mahogany)
I keep the stuff in the trailer. It will loosen a stuck bolt, or clean misc metal, the guns, and my door hinges on the trailer about twice a year I soak the hinges with the stuff and they just glide and make no squawks. http://www.break-free.com/
