Now you can get this 3D drawing tool free from google. I just spent a couple of hours playing around with it and it’s really quite amazing. Not only can you whip up some pretty complicated stuff really quickly, but it’s integated with google earth. You can “build” an extension onto an existing building that you can see via satellite imagery on google earth. Also, there is an incredible library of models that others have made available one google – cabinets, decks, stairs, bathrooms, houses….you name it. All, also free.

It’s amazing and more than a little daunting.
