Well it looks like “Richard” has succeeded. He did what he came here to do. That is a WIN or a GOTCHA very much like a terrorist strike. I can just picture him sitting at the console laughing and plotting his next move.
“Richard” is a lot like terrorists. Their goal is to create chaos and high emotion with not a lot of effective reaction. They strike at high visibility but not very meaningful targets just often enough to keep things going until they see they have won. Then the battles(posts) get more frequent until they win not only the battles but the war.
They win by creating chaos that causes us to change our way of doing business, new censorship, new restrictions, lashing out at “the enemy, etc.
We win by refusing to participate until it becomes too much of an annoyance. Then we stomp out the menace and move on. At no time do we compromise our way of living here. It is as much a cultural thing as anything.
So, now that he’s GOTCHA what now? Ignore him until his frustration level gets too high or the damage gets too great and he does something really harmful. Then either ask his ISP to turn him off or assault him for harrassing conduct.
