grading issue with building

Have an issue I’d appreciate thoughts on.

On my current job there is 8′ of wall to an outside corner where the grade wants to be higher than the sheathing. I am considering removing the sheathing for 12″ above the desired grade and replacing it with FINEX fiber reinforced cement board which is approved below grade

Over it will go an impervious 2cm porcelain tile as water course which can also go below grade.

Anyone dealt with this type of grading issue successfully? Comments on the proposed solution?
