I’ve done a fair amount of ceramic tile and plastic lam work, but now I want to overlay a plastic lam counter with 12″x12″x3/8″ granite tile. The existing counter has an oak edge that I would remove and then I was thinking of adding a 1/4″ layer of concrete board to the plastic lam. Any suggestions? Thanks.

How'd it turn out?
rez,
Fred shows up here on Nov 24 and posts this question. He makes a total of five posts and makes his last visit on Nov 29.
I don't know where the other four posts of his were, but I see that no one gave him any help on this one. No wonder he hasn't come back.
And yet you have an expectation that he will come around and let us know how the project that none of us would help with would come out???!!!!

Gee Rich,
I'm rumaging around for granite tile countertop data and stumble on this thread.
I have no idea who Fred is and in an attempt at neighborly talk decide to ring his bell to say 'hey how is it' and you come riding in with a blazing gun stopping traffic in the street.
I'm not 'us' in that I wouldn't dare give advice on something of this nature having no experience in it. And would probably rightfully so get shouted down in the process.
Now Fred will get an email and come read this. Bet he'll get a chuckle out of it, so we at least accomplished something constructive.
Have a rough week? :o)
"...you come riding in with a blazing gun stopping traffic in the street."
Sorry. I guess I should've put some smiles in there. I meant it to be good natured.
