Hi!
Does anyone know a good roof change company in Chicago?
My roof slowly needs replacement and I’m starting to look around.
Thanks!

Not from Chicago, but I'll share a great tip from one of my friends.
Search online, get multiple quotes. Sort them from highest price to lowest price, and then choose the middle. You could probably start with "roof replacement + (your location)" in google to look for contractors.
Your friend is wrong. You’re not buying a car.
Didn't know that advice was for cars! Worked for me though, must be luck then lol. But then again, it was a simple repair and maintain job not a full on replacement.
Not from Chicago, but here's some advise anyway. Ask around locally. Check with neighbors, co workers, whatever groups you're in. There's a lot of roofers out there, and most of them can do a decent job on a simple roof. But when you start getting into valleys and flashings, or other complications, find someone who really knows what they're doing.
I've used the same roofer for several decades on my jobs. I know the guy, and trust that he'll do a good job. You don't get that kind of info from advertising
And if you're in a state w/ a good licensing agency, check the records. Won't guarantee good work, but it can help eliminate the worst. In some states, if you have a legitimate complaint, the licensing board can help mediate.
FWIW, I read good things about Champion on NextDoor.
