I just came across a GREX framing nailer at the pawn shop. Looked like a solid tool, however information on the brand is scant to none on the internet and it seems no one locally carries the brand.
Any feedback?
Cheers

Wasn't that brand included in the FHB nailer review about 2 yrs ago?
Do it right, or do it twice.
Personally, I would pass on this one, good price or not. You noted that no one in your area carries them, that probably means no one in your area SERVICES them. It's pretty much inevitable that framing nailers sooner or later will need to be serviced.
Depends on the price and other factors. Maybe it's worth the cost to buy it, use it till it dies, then toss it.Do it right, or do it twice.
It's used....it's as likely it will break tomorrow as it is that it will break in two years. If he can't get it serviced what good is it to him? Ever see a framing nailer that's been "babied"???? I sure haven't. Even my own.
i can only speak for my experinece in the UK but i bought a grex 18g brad gun.
it works fine about 4 years old but i have been told that parts are unavailiable as they were a 1 off import.
aleks
PS since then i've bought only brands with parts availiability
