Built from locally sawn hemlock, this functional outdoor feature uses structural screws and metal connectors for fast, sturdy construction.

I went to the website. I'd fire the entire crew.
I don't see any advantage with those clips. The "normal" clips are preloaded just like those. Gravity holds them in place. The 1.5 hour savings claim is ridiculous.

Our Skytrak is for sale. It has 500 hrs on it. We want 50k (you pay the freight) and we'll finance it. Drop me an email; it's a good buy.
Thanks Blue for your time and opinion. From your posts I know that you don't bother with anything that gets in the way of production. thanks again,
george c.
Actually Cawfy, I give serious consideration to every technique and every product that I come across. Always have and always will. I just don't see a 1.5 hour savings using the clips. In fact, I see zero savings because the clips we use will "preload" just like the ones shown.
I also don't use two guys to lay one piece of roof sheathing. That technique alone would save about 20 hours on that roof!
I also don't allow anyone on my jobs to work without an OSHA approved (4") kicker on the bottom row of plywood. When I saw the guys working up there on that roof, I'd be forced to fire them, just as I have promised. That would mean I'd have to lay the roof alone and that would add half a day.
I also wouldn't allow the crew to lay the sheets with the stamped lettering up because the inspector wouldn't be able to verify that it was proper for the roof. The guys would have to remove and replace all those sheets with the stamp up and that would add at least ten hours.
I'm all for saving time and using better products but this product just sounds like an expensive gimmick. Were you the inventor? My hats off to you if you are. You will suck in a lot of people with a gimmick and if the suckers think they are getting a better product, they will be happy. I'm happy for people that are happy.

Blue I seen an ad for the clips in jlc oct 05 issue. Seemed they might hold better than the metal clips. Not much experience w/h-clips at all. Those I did use seemed very sloppy.Maybe the gc for that job had the wrong size? Anyway, thanks for your response. george c.
You probably had 7/16 OSB, and the store carried 1/2" clips. Ahhhh, close enough.Rebuilding my home in Cypress, CA
