I am about to begin grouting 500 sq ft of 16 x 16 natural slate tile (residential), and am very concerned about the removing excess grout. There are many tiles with rough surfaces or defects and uneven areas. I have alreadyy sealed the tile surface to act as grout release, and I was planning to try a grout bag and a margin float to apply as little extra grout as possible. Does anyone out there have a better way, or tips to make my plan go smoother. I am behind on this job already so I’m in kind of hurry to get started. Thanks
