You will probably get a discount if you buy more than 4 ft.

IIRC, it is treated with Algae-cide or bacteria-cide, not "just foam".
Just foam would get slimey in short order.
Edit to add: It is also UV stabilized by treatment, any other foam or filter mesh may have breakdown issues.
One time cost of install, vs. yearly clean out and risk factor? Might be a deal.

don't popaveiny...........
My garage is next to four beautiful 60' firs. I didn't want to cut them so I trimmed them so that the nearest limb is about 8ft. away. Anyway, I've lived in other places with lots of needles & leaves and tried many manufactured screens...all have been a pain.
I went to our lumber/home center and bought a roll of fiberglass batting. The stuff they use for furnace filters. I cut it into 2ft. wide strips and rolled them as you would a jelly roll so that they are about 4-5" in diameter and laid them into the gutters.
The needles stay on top for a quick brush off once a year when dry. Actually I use my leaf blower. Keeps all the junk from settling down into the gutter, it's very light weight and easy to handle, water flows through as though it weren't there. The building is single story and I can use a tall stepladder to reach.
I'm not flippin' you off.........just counting cubits
