Gutters and down spouts plug up!
Why? Because, junk gets in there and as long as we have trees we have junk
in the gutters.
Is there a good way to clean them? I’ve shoved a water hose up them and
down them, sometimes I’m successful and sometimes I’m not, when I not I get
ornery.
Sometimes the down spouts have to be taken apart and cleaned
this sometimes involves unscrewing them (hum…who put screws in there any how) or drill out a pop rivet.
I would like to know if anyone has installed a commercial type of
downspout on an ordinary house (the open faced kind, U-shaped)?
I think they would be easy to clean and one would be able to see the junk.
And if someone did add one, how did you do the section that drops from the facia gutter down and back toward the house and then down the side of the house?
What do you think of screens over the gutter?
