I received my custom ground camshafts and my engine is back and running as of last Monday night.  I have been working the air out of the cooling system and took it for its first flight yesterday.

It was extremely windy out and my friend was taking these pictures while I was hovering just off the ground.  I could back up even…but I dont care for that as I dont have mirrors.

The performance was phenomanal.   I used to pull 5400 max rpm with my prop set at minimum pitch for climb out.  It now pulls 5750 rpm…..whoooooaaaaaa……Its a kick in the pants.   Actually I am not needing climbout horsepower…but cruising horsepower.  I havent done those data runs yet,,,but should get a lot of flying in this weekend.

I gave myself a little gift by painting my valve covers red.
