I knocked off early and went flying. Here is a picture of my stairshop. What goes on down there is what keeps me up here. 🙂
The second and third shot are just cruising around. I have a 25 mile dog leash on it until I get my 40 hours flown off. Then I can take passengers and go anywhere I want.
I am still checking out the flight controls. The last picture is a degree of pitch indicator. I am using the dash as a bench mark angle. It happens to be exactly 19 degrees tilted forward from vertical when the keel of the gyrocopter is level. Any reading in flight greater than 19 degrees indicates how muck my keel tube is inclined. This is important as the negative incidence of my horizontal stabilizer is referenced to this angle. I checked at various speeds to 85 mph. Everything was right on.

cool as always.
what's the range of your gyro?
ever set down next to a fuel station and freak the hell out of the poor kid behind the counter?
Cag: It will go for at least 3 hours at 75-80 and still have a half hour reserve that is required by law. I have to keep my landings legal.....flying is a privilege...not a right
what are the laws for landing, never thought about it as illegal, but it makes sence
the negative incidence of my horizontal stabilizer is referenced to this angle.
I forgot that rule once and had a negative incident when I was horizontally unstable... that's how I wrecked my angle the first time. :-)>
Inspiring pictures as always. Thanks for the lift!
