This guy came down600 miles yesterday from northern Wisconsin for a demo flight in my SparrowHawk. It was negative 2 outside,..but we were warm and cozy. He is a pilot but just about had all he could stand when I demonstrated what a gyrocopter can do.

Other than the cold, is it different flying in the winter on a day like that with a clear blue sky? Is the air denser because of the cold, and do you notice a difference in performance?

eddie: It definately performs better in the cold. The air is dense and supercharged. The rotors just bite in.
The engine is a 2.5 Subaru fuel injected...165 horse.
