How do you calculate the rise/tread length of a circular staircase. I am assuming you calculate the rise the same as you would for a straight staircase, but does the circular nature change the width of the treads? and since the steps are wedge shaped where is the tread length measured at?
I have a 10′ by 6′ area I would like to put a half circle stair in, is this area okay for a total rise of 10′ 6″?
Thanks, -Tim
