Half Round window in deep inset wall
Intro: My problem is regarding binding of half round windows on an inset window.
Details: French pair of half round windows inset in the middle of a 12″ thick wall. The window will be roughly 6″ inset from the outside. The stucco will be dieing into the window frame. Since the window and the inset framing is halfround I know the window is going to hit the stucco at some point less than 90 degrees. The initial thought is to use wide throw hinges. At some point the wide throw hinge will cause the window to hit the adjoining sash.
Has anyone done this?

I'm having trouble understanding how this window sash is opening so that it binds on the deeper jamb (stucco inset). Where is it hinged and what part of it will bind?
One problem I have, never mess'd with a "french" half round window operable unit.
thanks.
I assume it's a double "casement" style window with an arched top. If inset and the opening matches the window shape then the top of open sashes will bump into the arched opening.
Imagination and physical reality often don't mesh. That window would need a high header that gives the window room to open. There is no special hinge that allows it to operate in that condition.

I'm thinking if it's a purchased window-slip it out in the opening more to clear the outter wall.
If it's homebuilt, seems like it should work and needs just pushed out where it belongs. Add to the interior jamb if that's the case.
Assuming it's outswing. Reverse is true if inswing.
