I just got a Porter Cable FR 350 MAG nailer. Didn't take long for me to decide to call for the restrictive trigger (did'nt think I needed 27 nails in one stud!). Since I'am not a pro and only will use it for the occasional garage, pole barn, etc. I don't see at this time where I really need "bounce firing", maybe someday. I too debated if I really needed a pnuematic framing nailer, finally shelling out the bucks, my 53 year old rotator cuff and related body parts are now happy. Wish I bought one years ago!! I bought Porter Cable only because of availabilty for parts and service and past experience with thier other products, although made in Taiwan -isses me off! Also can't believe for the price they can't include a case.
Just went into the Steletto site.....I thought qa hundred bucks was kickin it but 200 bucks.....ROFLOOOOOOOOOOOIt's not who's right, it's who's left ~ http://CLIFFORDRENOVATIONS.COM
Don't laugh to hard, I got one of the $200 hammers as did Pro-dek, I use mine, I think his is a wall hanger. I like my wood handled Stiletto better(fits the loop better, better handle) but the new one is nice also. Are they worth $200........yes if you got it, but if you got it, and don't mind spending $200 on a hammer then $200 ain't that much money ...right?
I thought $150 for my Occidental belt was too much until they said it was gauranteed for life. They've since retracted the "gauranteed for life" bit and now I have a tool belt with holes in every pocket. So, is $200 too much? I wouldn't spent that much. but I use a 16 oz. fiberglass for everything because it's comfortable. I wish you could test drive these things for a few days.
Remember Hart used to advertise their hammers as the ultimate driving machines?
Kieth,
200 FREAKING $ for a hammer!!!!!!!!!????????!!!!!!!!!!
Do you work for the pentagon?
They saw you coming a mile away!!!
TDo not try this at home!
I am a trained professional!
It's a really cool hammer! If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price.
It's not a $200 hammer. It's a "multi-dimensional impact directer". That makes it a bargain for a measly $200 and well worth the taxpayer's money.
Note that it does have more than one dimension and that it directs impact's precisely on target. It's also a pretty good fly swatter if the danged fly would stay still on a brick long enough.

Count me in on the Estwing unless you get a singer(or ringer). They're strong, cheap, and comfy. My most fav are Vaughn though, superior balance, for me at least.
