I am getting ready to paint 2000 sq ft of HardiPlank siding. The local Sherwin Williams has recommended that I prime the siding with an oil based primer prior to two coats of latex paint. I am using pre-primed, Cedarmill Select siding with 4″ and 8″ exposures. I would like to hear how others proceed with painting HandiPlank.
