Hanging fiberglass door slab–bevels?
So I’ve looked all over the internet, and not found a good description of the differences in fiberglass vs wood doors, in terms of installation. From what I can find, it seems that when installing a new FG door slab, you cannot/should not put a bevel on either edge of the door. Is that correct? I can see that it might weaken or split the FG edge, but without the bevel, the door edge runs the risk of catching the jamb edge when closing the door.
The manufacturers don’t seem to say one way or the other, at least in their instructions and on their websites, but I was able to reach a guy in the jeld-wen warranty dept who confirmed that beveling the edge would void the warranty.
So how are most installers handing this? Leave a wider gap between the door edges and the jambs?
Thanks.

I don’t know about other installers but if you keep the same margin down the sides that the head jamb has, there is no scrape or bind. The compression gasket at the stop seals out any air infiltration.
