Gyrocopters give me more pleasure than any other material thing on earth. God and family will never be surpassed…but I cant think of anything material that makes me smile as much.
Out cruising Illinois soggy fields tonight.

You can't fool us,those are pictures of ponds and quarries.
How much rain you get on sunday ? We got 4 inches in less than two hours. real soggy here
For once, I think a rain storm mostly missed us. Noticed a big-a$$ planter in a field on my way to the project house, and an even bigger tractor about a mile later (who probably also had a planter, but I didn't see it).

Always good to see you post here Stan. I've always enjoy your stair threads.
Sorry about you buddies; I've thought of them often lately.
Enjoy and be safe.

It's Never Too Late To Become What You Might Have Been
I really enjoy your pictures. Keeps reminding me of when I was planning to go to UI, Champaign/Urbana in 1961. Didn't go, changed my major and stayed in Hawaii. Someone told me that the surrounding country side is as flat as it comes. Your pictures brings back memories of what might have been.
Keep posting, as flat as it is I still enjoy scenes of Illinois.

Can't imagine why you think IL is flat :)

Stan, I used to do some solo aerial photography out of a C-172. Can you cross control a rotorcraft ( thats what I did) to shoot out of the passenger window?

Junkman: You can stop it and come down vertically and slowly spin....or you can hold rudder and opposite cyclic and almost fly sideways.

JohN; I like that gyrocopter you posted.
I just have to say that most people dont have a clue how a gyrcopter flies....why it flies...and what happens if the engine quits.
These machines in my opinion are the safest flying machines around as far as having engine outs. I shut mine off all the time and dead stick it in. They land like a crwo.
