party time , party time
a deadbeat family who owed a bunch of money and dragged theri feet for the past few months paid theri remaining bill of 6,450 ( on a 190k house)
threats of liens didnt do anything, filling paperwork with the state didnt do anything
it took one phone call from our lawyer to ask, “whom is your lawyer so we can set up a meeting”
within a half hour I got a phone call asking to meet, that was wednesday
today I got a cashiers check for all of it
only have to pay my lawyer for his 2 hours , over the course of this adventure
boy did I luck out
party time , I got my happy feets on
so now side note
everything was going well, no punchlists just a small remaining bill.
Brother in law moves up from San diego
was a jerk
family calls me out for a punch list
they couldnt even explain the problems,
I think he just came up and said , this is how its done…………… cheat him out of the bucks by saying blank and blank
then when we all realized they had no grounds ….they just dragged their feet, I think to save face
for me happy feets , happy feets
is their a tool I need ???????? Im sure Ill think of something

I'll come to your party
I had anticipated possibly maybe paying a good deal more to the state worker's comp ins after my audit, depending on how they recognized and classified my subs.
Today, i openned an envelope from them Wondering how bad the kit would be
It had a check to my for over nine grand overpayemnt, based on their audit.

I got my paycheck today!
Congrats guys!
I've got a happy story myself.
We were anticipating paying a 15k tax bill. After four hours the CPA tells us that we only owe about 7k!
Woohoo!

Maybe that epoxy I used to set the steel bars in the ledge at that porch?

I bet there is a Fine Dentist mag out there with a forum probably called 'The cavitor.'
You could get on and post...
I'm a tooth owner and I know I should go to the dentist for this but wouldn't the epoxy I use on stuff here at home work ok to glue my tooth back on? I got a dremel and I could grind it real smooth.
I only got two others left and would hate to loose this one. It's in the front ya know.
pliers...
do the deed and be done with it...

You don't know just how close to reality that would be for my neck of the woods!
People here really talk about using some kind of epoxy to glue their teeth back together! I can't wait until one of em finally tries it. James DuHamel

Several years ago my old man jabbed himself in the wrist with the corner of a piece of sheet metal. Pointy side in and a cut about a inch wide on the skin.
Lucky thing for him he didn't cut an artery, just a little blood and an ugly gash. He said he was ok and he'd drive himself to the Doc.
An hour later he came back with his hand bent at the wrist and it all taped up like a home job. He said he got to thinking how he saw them use superglue during a persons surgery on tv the other night so he figured what the hell.
He had a little stiffness in that wrist for several months. But hey, I guess it worked.
He always scared me that way, never knew what the old fart would think of next.

bring the pic portfolio ...
last time I went to the dentist ... new guy for us ...
he made the mistake of admitting to me under cross examination that he did indeed need a new basement conversion ....
hasn't happened yet ... but last time the wife went in he told her to let me know he's still planning on it and is planning on calling me first.
which reminds me .... it's been a while ... new year and all ... not too soon before spring has sprung ... I'd better schedule the teeth cleaning ....

Taxes! We don't file no stinkin Taxes!
No, you file it under pain, you need your teeth in good condition in order to be able to perform your job. You also need teeth in order to close bids.

I think they decided to pay you after they found out what their lawyer would require as a retainer to take the case. My guess is they called a few and were told they would have to deposit 3000 up front before their case would even be looked at.
Happy for you man, that last little bit is hard to get at times. Did a job for a cop, ( not really a cop a criminal working as a cop) screwed me out of last two grand, told him I would kick his ####, received very interesting phone call a little later. Gave that up.
Another time owner found excuse to keep $1500.00 said garage was a couple of inches short off the plans, my first house, tough to have to walk away from that.
But anyway $6400.00 GST rebate check is on it's way from the tax department so life is good.
