Was wondering if anyone could provide some advice on Hard Wax Oil. I have just applied a single coat Matt finish but would like a satin look instead. Is it possible to apply a satin over Matt?

More information needed. What did you apply as the matte finish?
What are you considering for the hard wax finish?
True wax finishes - a) aren't hard; b) require multiple coats to establish; c) wears-off on to everything, especially socks; d) require a tremendous amount of upkeep.

FSmyles, The Journal of Light Construction just did a good article on Hard wax oils they are not a true wax- it's a totally new type of flooring finish. I've linked the article below. It sheds more light on the product.
The author talks a little bit about re-coating and I see no reason why you couldn't go over with the same product in a different gloss level, but your best bet is to call the manufacturer.

My JLC issue arrived yesterday and I saw this article. Technology is changing the world.
Haven't used this system or even seen it.
I need hands on research.
