I have 350 s/f of hardwood floor that I would like refinished. Can anybody give me an idea what would be a fair price to look for. The area is Buffalo NY, the floor has been covered with carpet all of its life so it’s not all beat up.

$500 to $1000 depending on everything....get some bids...see their work in person.

For a natural finish, with one coat sealer and one coat poly with no repair work. In the N.Y.C area you are looking at 80 cents to $1.25 a square foot. For 1 sealer 2 poly about 1.35 to 1.50 a square foot. For a stain job 1.85 to 2.00 a square foot. Which include stain, sealer and poly. With additional coats of poly at an extra cost of approximatly 40 cents a sq. ft.
