I read the hardie lap thread but it did not address my specific question. I had to replace a second story outside wall that had severe water damage due to a roof problem. Roof has been replaced as well as the wall. I will be putting hardie panels back up to keep with the tudor style of the home. My question is: Do I need to trim the exterior of the windows and install the skirt before installing the panels? I am going to use fc battons and trim boards.
