I recently found a local supplier of hardwood. http://www.penningtonhardwoods.com/
The question I have is is this a good price compared with the rest of the country? I’ve never purchased from a supplier like this and was wondering if it was that good of a deal.

Prices look awfully good to me (for rough sawn lumber) -- even if you add the $ .25 bf charge for planing.
Seems a bit high to me but then I buy mill direct, from 3 of the largest mills in the midwest. red oak $2.00 bd ft. select & better, hard maple $2.30 and cherry 4 bucks.
