I’m a remodeler in Seattle and we often work on homes built in the ’30s and ’40s . We try to keep homes to their period as much as possible but we have a tough time finding new register covers that are a copy of the old ones we always see in the homes (that are covered with three layers of paint). You know the ones; horizontal fins, one solid damper behind that hinges on the top, 13 3/4″ long, 7 1/4″ tall. I’ve searched on-line but can’t seem to find them. Does anyone know of a manufacturer out there who makes these things?
