Heatilator stovepipe

user-140773 | Posted in Energy, Heating & Insulation on September 28, 2006 06:01am

Does any body out there know of a source for old Heatilator stovepipe? I need to replace several sections of rusted-through above the roofline pipe, and Heatilator hasn’t made that style of pipe since 1999.

The stove is a Heatilator Mark 700, and the pipe is 9″ inner, 14″ outer.
I have contacted the folks at Heatilator, and they gave me 3 different phone numbers of folks who might have pipe, but none of them have panned out. One person in Minnesota, one in Michigan, one in Louisiana.

Thanks in advance for your efforts.

    Greetings n,

This post, in response to your question, will bump the thread through the 'recent discussion' listing again.

Perhaps it will catch someone's attention that can help you with advice.

There may be a reason why it's not made any more. I don't really know what 'heatilator stovepipe' is, but if it involves extracting heat from the exhaust gases of a wood stove or fireplace, I wouldn't recommend it. Cooled exhaust gases condense creosote, which can be bulky, messy, and in the worst case quite flamable. Chimney fires result from creosote that ignites and are very dangerous.

Look for someone who's taking some out in your area. I got rid of some double-wall flue pipe by putting it in the front yard with a "free" sign. It's good to recycle if you can.

    Heatalator.

Normally I try to avoid these antique posts. But...the last time I delt with Heatalator (about 12 years ago) they had certain dates when they ran production of old model pipes. You needed to order them and wait til they had a production run, but you could still get replacement pipe sections. This is not obvious on line, so you'd need to contact them directly.

I have sections available in CO

Hi there, I saw this thread and that some people have been still looking for this Heatilator Mark 700 chimney piping. I have 4 of the 3-foot sections, as well as one with the vent cap attached. I Would very much like to find someone who can use these and make a deal, it would be a shame for them to go to waste. Please contact me at [email protected] if you are interested. I am located in Colorado but could ship anywhere if you pay shipping.

Tried emailing you. Please let me know if you still have parts for the Mark 700 chimney. Thank you.

      Hi dbobbit12,
Do you happen to have any of this heatilator flue pipe remaining?
      I'm interested if so.
      Thanks

  12. PipeDreamOH | Mar 08, 2020 11:38pm | #24

    Hello everyone,

This string seems to stay alive with people looking for this flue pipe. Now it's my turn: anyone have any available? I need a 3' section and flue cap.

    Thanks,
    Tom

  13. extremejor | Apr 20, 2020 12:23pm | #25

I have 3, 3’ sections, the cap, storm collar, and some custom clamps we used to lower them down out of the chase (they can be used to raise them back in). We are in Anchorage, Alaska.

I’d prefer to sell the whole lot to someone and you pay shipping, unless there’s enough interest from enough people to split up the lot. Contact me @ Extremejor -at- yahoo.com.

    1. extremejor | May 20, 2020 02:51pm | #26

Better yet, call or text me at 907-632-1-zero-zero-6. I don’t check that email daily. I may not answer a strange number, so be sure to leave a voicemail!!

      1. extremejor | May 19, 2022 10:44am | #29

I have one section left. Mind you it’s shipping from Alaska and is expensive. $100.00 for the last section and you pay shipping. No flue - that was in the fireplace section. Text me at the number above-

        1. extremejor | May 31, 2022 06:24pm | #31

All gone! All that's left are some custom-made bolt-on clamps for safely and securely removing the pipe from indoors (no crane needed) using a rope & eyelets - pretty clever.

Best of luck finding this piping-

    Howdy,

I am in search of this flue pipe. Does anyone have any available? I need at least one section of 3' section and flue cap.

    Thanks,

        Where are you located?

I have the collar, slightly deformed. You can kinda see it in the earlier pic. The roof cap is good. In Utah.

I just removed a heatilator 3138 e.p. Heat circulating fireplace including its fans, glass door #2138 assembly and chimney assembly. The factory chimney boot was rusted through. The rain guard which was above the roof has surface rust. (1)3’ section catalog #912 has some exterior dents but is in good condition. The image below is the bottom side of the dual wall insulated 14” o.d section. I have an interior framing mount bracket and the manuals if anyone wants to see the assemblies.
I am in Western PA, and do not plan to keep these around too long.

I am pretty sure most people coming across this thread over the last 13 years have been looking to reuse the Heatilator chimney parts instead of just recycling them at the curb. Given their age and discontinued manufacturing, these dual wall flue pipes just do not show up, let alone when someone needs them. For the rest of the system that got removed most of it is still in production my used stuff will likely go to steel scrap.

      1. EkamaDesign | Oct 26, 2023 11:10pm | #44

I no longer have the parts posted above. Best of luck to those who find this thread in search of replacements or perhaps trying to remove an existing old Heatilator fireplace.
