I need specific advice for heating an office in a detached garage.
We converted a detached, two-bay garage into an office on one side, and retained the garage/shop on the other. This is in southern Vermont, but we it’s a vacation home. We would like to use the office for about a total of 2-3 weeks a winter, and some cold days in the fall.
I am looking for advice on heating the space (very small–140 sq. ft.), which is relatively well insulated (R-19 all around). We don’t need to heat overnight, just during work hours.
So, thoughts? Electric? Baseboard or one of those little things sold in Walmart and the like? Kerosene?
(I am thinking about getting a small wood stove for the shop/garage, but I doubt the heat would get in the office.)
Thanks in advance,
Scott
