Help finding info on shingle patterns

I am looking for an article (or info) on creating patterns with wood shingles. This is for siding but I am sure the techinique is similar for a roof.
I have been searching for days. I don’t recall if it was FHB, a web site or what but if you know where I can find info on this please let me know.

Yes, it was FHB...sorry, I don't have time right now to go look it up. I remember, as I read the story very closely on how to create these patterns. As I recollect, it was 6-9 months or so ago.

Anyone know the issue #? The FHB search engine is worthless in my opinion. It finds everything but what you are looking for.
