The Mrs. wants the laminate floor in this weekend and I threw out my back. I need a power flush cut saw to cut off the bottom of the casings on the doors, not the jams. I saw one on a video at some trade show, looked like a router, but everyone I’ve asked doesn’t know where to get one. Is this a toekick saw?

Jamb saw made by crain, should be able to rent one.
*Thanks for the info., I found the crain cutter 810 and 555, would a flooring place rent these out?
*A rental place should have one. Err, a biscuit joiner will work too.
*For under 2 bills, Bosch has a flush cut trim saw with replaceable blades called the Fine Cut, I think. It's a small reciprocating thing. I don't partticularly care for it but it does the job in places like this. Now tell the old lady that the best thing for a bad back is lots of loving massage, back rubs and intimate relations. Imply that she'll get more work out of you that way. Then do lots of situps to support that back!
*I have seen flooring guys use sawzalls for this task too.
*Fein multi tool w/blade. Nice fine cut. Also as a detail sander with included accessories. I've used it to cut crown when building an intersecting wall, undercut saw, to cut base for built-in cabinet install, to bail out counter guy by cutting a profile in the back of the slide-in range plastic trim, almost any cut where space is minimum and a good looking results are wanted. But if you're going to undercut casings, jambs whatever for a living, get the crane cutter. Make your pass slowly to minimize tearout.
*Thanks for all the helpful hints. The spa did a nice job on the back, But I'm too lazy for that many situps. I talked the Mrs. into the crain 810 and we'll see how it does. Thanks for the tear out reminder...she's picky that why she married me.
