HELP!! We are building our custom dream home as we speak. Todays decision, choose the dumbwaiter spec-ed for our 3 level home. and stay married.

As designers & developers we have built many custom homes None with dumbwaiters. We have researched the net with leading companies: Elevette, Silent servant, Waupaca, Handy waiter, Powerlift.. How to choose? Manual VS. Power? Commercial VS. Residential?? Any recalls or lemons we should be aware of.?? HELP!

Whats the downside? construction considerations? Anyone know?? Have any experience?? Any available Consumer Reports/ Comparisons?

We hope to retire in this home. Our criteria is as follows:Durability, value, safety, ease of operation for old agers. large heavy duty car capacity  200+Lbs. Future capability for one person elevator.

Rough opening shaft 42″w x 30″ deep x 31 ft ht. (3 levels) Front opening only.  As garage in under our home everything will be transported upwards, to main & upper levels, trash groceries, laundry, tools.
