Well folks… someone suggested that I post pix of some of my work, but I am not that well versed in the ways of this gizzmo to do that . How about some help? I can get those pix to my desktop , now how do I get them to post on BT.

Google for, and DL a free program called Irfanview..resize pics (under IMAGE)..to 640x480 keep all the other parts the same.
SAVE AS a new name or one you can ID...in some place where ya can find them ( I use My Docs.)
Post a reply or new mess..hit attach files..browse into my docs and select as jpeg..hit the upload button ( go make a sammich) when it says uploaded..hit done..and post away..eat sammich
Search here for that might get ya some other info too..

Good brief synopsis, except that since he has them on his desktop, searching for them in mydocs won't grant him much of a result.Anyway Jay, glaad you are up to the chalenge of sharing those digital photos. reply and hit that attach button under the message window, then browse to wherever you have them stored. The biggest mistake we all make is to select the photo and then get too impatient - thus the sandwhich or a bottle of beer. It can take awhile for Prospero top recognize and confirm the transmition. When they have the file, the name of it will appear in the dialouge window, then you can hit the "done" button, add text, and post it.Good luck

Maybe you misunderstood..his desktop photos need to be resized (maybe) in Irfanview and RE saved as. My photos from the camera or what ever can be any where...but for posting , I reallocate a place for them..
Or, we both are wright..and wrong.

No I didn't misunderstand this one. Her said clearly that he can get his photos to his desktop. You said to browse and grab them from his my docs folder, which is where they normally would be, but if he doesn't have them there, but on the desktop like he said, then he won't find them in mydocs. Then, you assume that his photos would need resizing. Maybe - maybe not. it is an assumption you make that his would need re-sizing. Mine are normally the right size right out of the camera, cause that's how I shoot them normally. His might already be small too.

No Piff..I said to SAVE AS to "my Docs" or another readily findable place...and yes, he may not have to resize..........but it's still a logical choice to have the original and a copy......
differnt strokes for differnt folks..I just offered a leg up.

I can post pics from home, but not at work. I figure we've got an antivirus or firewall problem.
It could happen.

And if you don't get any response when you click on Attach Files in the message composition window, there's a good chance that it's because you have a popup blocker running. Turn it off and try again.

is an old thread here on Breaktime that includes a lot of data on posting pics and the Irfanview download.
