Help save my sander. Sandpaper wont stick
My Rigid rotary has gotten sanding pad gummed up and sandpaper wont stick. Is there a way to rejuvenate this? Maybe something that dissolves wood?

Probably acetone (in a well-ventillated space). Perhaps followed by an alcohol wipe.
But if there is some sort of adhesive that is doing the "gumming" it then you might need to use whatever solvent works for that first (eg, paint thinnner). But you need to follow up with acetone or alcohol to remove any oils in the solvent.

most quality pad sanders offer replacement pads, did you check? Rigid had some lifetime warranty mumbo jumbo, perhaps yours is covered.

Thanks to Calvin I called Rigid, No hassles. About 10 days later I reveived a new pad.

No, you'll need a new pad. I replace mine every 3 or 4 years but I don't use it much.
