My predicament is this. I am doing a major remodel and I am adding a front porch over a finished basement. It will have an Spantex membrane deck directly above it to help protect it from the elements but it has southern exposure and I am in Seattle so it will get rain blown onto it. What I am trying to do create a waterproof seal while still having a nice wood porch. I do have a quarter inch per foot slant on the plywood that is already down but would like to cover that with wood flooring.
So among my questions;
How can I create a waterproof membrane under the flooring?
What type of flooring should I use and what should I seal it with?
Any other bright ideas?
