I have a paslode pneumatic framing nailer i think it is a 5350? I didn’t use the nail gun for a couple of months and then I went to use it would not work. What it is doing is just shooting air out from under the trigger. I took the gun apart and everything looks fine. It is oiled, has good air pressure, the piston moves smoothly up and down. I am out of things to check. If anyone has any ideas I would really really appreciate it.
Thanks
Ryan

I am on my second Paslode framing nailer and have had the same problem with both of them. The first one I was very happy with performance but over a period of about 3 months I started having more problems with it not alway firing. It got to the point where all it would do was run and release gas. I ended up taking it to the nearest authorized repair dealer about 30 miles away and he said that it was not sparking. He worked on it under warranty and I used it for about a week and had the same problem. Since I had purchased it at Lowe's and had my original receipt, I decided to see if they would exchange it, which indeed they did. But they did not change the date of purchase on my receipt which meant that I only had the warranty for one year from that date. The new nailer worked ok (I only used it about a week to finish up a fence project) and I stopped doing any projects for a few months and now I have the same problem and I don't think Lowe's will take it back this time. I was hoping I just had bad luck the first time, but I think Paslode has a major design problem. You can hear the pop from the spark right before it fires and drives the nail and each time the nailer has stopped working, it seems as though it won't create the spark. I'm pretty fed up which is a shame because when it works it is a really nice tool.
