We recently purchased a new to us home and it included this little utility closet with no door but some left over hinges. I have not been able to find the door anywhere in the house. I have been trying to figure out what to use as a door for it. I really don’t want to get something custom made. I feel like I could cut something down to fit if I knew were to start.
15 7/8 x 81 1/8 inside dimensions.
The house was built in the mid to late 70s.
Any thoughts on where to get a door/slab?

The closest thing I could find was half of bifold door for a 32" closet.
That's what I would have suggested. You may be able to find one leaf of this as a bare door.
A couple things to be aware of if going this route. A bi-fold may be thinner than the original door. Check the existing door stop. It's most likely 1 3/8".
Also, if the bi fold is a "paneled' door the stile where the door is split will be narrower than the other side. I would try to avoid this route if possible.
A real lumberyard should be able to help you. A flush or three panel door may be available. The dimension you gave does sound a little tight but a fraction of an inch can be taken off the new slab. If you want to search online try something like "1/4 6/8 door slab". And, you want a slab with no prep. so you can match current hardware locations.
18x80 mastercraft solid wood door. Can trim sides equally, mortise some hinges. Bought at Menards, big in Midwest, no other places.
