I tried to go to the Sloan Valve web site to get this question answered, but was denied access??
I have a 75 year old valve, in which I just replaced the guts with a 4.5 gallon flush repair kit. The problem is that the flow is slow. I think I get the full 4.5 gallons, but it talks 12 seconds, so I just don’t get the flushing action I need. I think the reason is that the pipes are constricted, which restrict the flow.
Question: Can I increase the flow by cutting of the plastic “flow ring”.
Thanks for any help you can give.
