It’s all about the restoration of the garage (and the adjoining house and shed) in Palo Alto where Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard started their company back in 1939 (click on each picture, and a slide show pops up.)

They were a little inconsistent in their restoration…for instance, they pulled apart the chimney brick by brick and numbered each one, so they could be put back in the exact same spot, but then they put a modern refrigerator in the kitchen right next to the period stove.  The person who wrote the captions for each photo was probably not familiar with construction terms, either.  Still, it was quite a project.
