Not much action here, just packed Mrs. 'Snort off to the beach, things calmed down pretty fast. Looks like Ocracoke and Hatteras took the big hit and the Virginia beaches had it tough.
Everybody was pretty ready, and, the danged thing tracked right where it was supposed to go!
Hey, just got back from the left coast, now this is a beach...
EliphIno!
Glad to hear you guys are okay, but...um...we don't post photos like that one much - we have enough western migration as it is. How the heck did you filter out the rain? Rains all the time out here.
That's not what Horace Greely said<G>
I'm seriously considering migrating, I love the rain! EliphIno!
You got power? My Dad over in Durham lost it at about six last night, and it's still not back yet."The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit." ~Nelson Henderson
We had a flicker or two. I think Durham still has a lot of folks without juice, but they've still got smokes<G>
Let me know when you come for a visit, ya heah? EliphIno!
Very nice!
How far above Morro Bay were you to find this beach? I'm planning a driving trip later in October and this looks like a great skin diving spot!
Thanks!
McWay Falls in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Amazingly gorgeous place. The beach is supposedly "inaccesible," so it must be scuba diver's footprints all over it<G>
A beautiful part of the world... EliphIno!
Look, look !
That water is full of, um, it's full of MILK !
Yeah, dat's da ticket ! It's full of milk and ammonia from runoff from a nearby dairy farm.
Why, I'll bet there's a bunch of biohazard material in there from a nearby hospital, too. Yeah, dat's right. Biohazard material. Hospitals here are required to be built every 100 yards along all beaches, and to dump all their biohazard directly into the surf.
Yeah, dat's da ticket !!
And dat stuff you see growing out there in the water, that's not yer ordinary seaweed, or moss. No, here we have a plant called titanious titwillow. It grows on all beaches everywhere. One single plant can stretch for miles. If it catches you out there in the water, it can strip a man to the bones in 6 seconds. You'd never know what hit you. It's usualy pretty well hidden. When you can actualy see parts of it at the surface like that, it's either mating, or it has simply gotten too many tourists to eat, and has outgrown it's territory.
I am not even going to go into all the land-faring menaces out here.
Take my word for it. You don't want to migrate out here.

Yer not working for the Chamber of Commerce any more, are ya?<G> EliphIno!
No way !
You know, those people are actualy lying to innocent folks in other states, trying to convince them to move here ?
I worked there until the day that I discovered it was a plot. They are trying to get all youse unknowledgeable folks out here, so they can hide behind youse.
Evil people there. Simply evil.
