I did as you asked.
Heres the laptop pooter table I whacked out last night while kibbitzing w/IC…
I need to wax it, but you get the ideer of how it works..I used a wooden screw to tighten the up and down ability..now i can recline and be obnoxious.
Thats a screw tightner to allow the post to rise above the set height…yeah, like a broom handle thread, I need to make a knob..
Damm that walnut flooring is too nice for a job like this..handplaned and loved with abrasives..like me.
And WHEElz..

OUCH!
Oh man, I definately feel for ya. I had that at L4-5 about 15 yrs ago and it's no treat.
At all.
I mean, like as in absolutely no redeeming value to be found. Anywhere.
I went under the knife for mine and my leg numbness went away by the time I woke up, but it didn't really fix the underlying back issues. I kinda wish now I'd just stuck it out, since the resulting scarring, etc. just makes things worse generally as time goes on. I understand that, if the disc isn't pressing so hard as to do permanent damage to the nerves, it just kinda disolves over time and you're back in the game.
Ain't much you can do, I guess, but ride it out. I guess the bright side (if there is one) is that at least it didn't happen when you're nutz-to-the-wall busy. ;-(

Yeah, I got like 2 good hours verticle, then I'm looking like Igor or Egor , my wife and I disagree. Man, I'm whacked..Idid it bad in 75 and had a chiro "fix" me..he broke the rib, and now the tail end rotates and punctures my left lung (sternum) so I was supposed to get that ironed out ...
and then my customers went broke....I don't have ins, I pay.. last MRI was 1200.00 and the nezt is Fri, if I can, To see if it;s OK...Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

Only thing I can offer is advice. Keep it moving a bit as much as you can. At least for me, the worst thing for it is to keep still. Then it just swells and stiffens up and goes downhill fast.
Wish there was sumpin I could do for ya. Can't ya see it -- a couple of cripples showing up for the next job, neither one can hardly move. ;-)

Unless it's cuz you were hit by a truck or something of similar effect this book by John Sarno is AMAZING. I bought it years ago and it's made a huge impact on a lot of things besides back pain I used to have!

Have you tried PT or traction??
I've had fusion of c5/6 and c6/7 back in 2001. I knew that the ones above and below were too great at the time and now are really causing me problems. Waiting for approval for an MRI from the insur. co. I am talking to a doc about possibly having the nerves that come out of the facets temporarily frozen to see if this helps.
There is light at the end of the tunnel. I good Chiro is helpful, but there are too many crappy ones that make it like playing Russian roulette.
Plus the tear in my L4/5 isn't helping me much right now, either
Surgery does help, but as with anything, there are drawbacks. I never had migraines before the surgery, but now I do(hence the AKA migraine). It has helped with the level of my pain. But I also traded one symptom for another.
Hope you have some improvement soon.

Been there, life is ALL ABOUT STRETCHING, get to physical therapy, or to begin, learn the cat and the camel exercise. It took me 4 months of constant exercise but it gave me back my life, without undergoing the KNIFE. You have to take the "bucket out of bucket seats". Don't sit on a wallet etc., etc., etc.PHYSICAL THERAPY WORKS, but it takes time, 4 months on average and most people won't give it that long, I had no choice, so I did it and it worked, going on 9 years now, but stretch EVERY DAY ALL 7.

Sorry, just coffee.

It's still a big mess, lots of trees that were Ok suddenly weren't. I think we had about 65 Mph and some say higher..I can't even begin to find my yard under all the soon to be firewood.
Not complaining, there are folks worse off today, what with the plane down. Keeps me humble.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

So firewood should be really cheap next fall?jt8
If you aren't embarrassed by your offer, then you are offering too much! --DanT
Here on my land it's mostly soft (Silver) Maple..trash wood. I had a few locust go, but I hate cutting it for burning, makes better posts for fencing.
From what I can see in my limited travels thus far, a lot of it is just getting chipped and dumped out in the town environs, and locals in the sticks have yet to deal with a lot of it..and they'll either pile it and burn it, or let it rot..firewood is always cheap, it's the labor and delivery that they charge for..we got wood everywhere here in the Nat. Forest and the timber logs get out and the tailings are more trouble to slice and dice than its worth.
The firewood gets profitable when you buy butts and tops and have a splitter running by a kid..lessee a 10 wheel dump truck of butts was 10.00$..you haul. That fluffs up to about 6 cords of similar size and length stove wood. Clearing and handling that from branch and small trunks would take a day and a LOT more work..so..it rots or piled and burnt or chipped.
Sad but true.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks
