Can anyone tell me if the two point movement in the R value of fiberglass (R-19 to R-21)is worth the 40% difference in price? Is the high density really worth it? I realize that everyone hates fiberglass but there are virtually no wet blown celluse contractors in my area, so I’m forced to use a substandard product. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

I'd agree with Fred that the increse in R value _alone_ probably isn't worth the money, But there are other factors, R19 is, what, 6-1/2" thick, one has to force it into a 2x6 wall and the drywallers have to fight the stuff, while R21 fits in the bay like it belongs there. Except for one house that got wet blown celluose, I've always used the R21. Would you have to cut corners somewhere else to use R21? as Fred mentions ther may be better places to spend the money, but if you have the money to spend. Since Amazon.com's philosophy seems to be "we lose money on every sale but make it up in volume", sure it's going up now, but how long will it last? I think I'd rather put my money in my walls.
