Wow - Really nice work.

Once it loaded up all I could see was the pergola. No links to other parts of the site.
'Course, I'm in Texas on dial-up, so that could have something to do with it.
I think his work is quality, and very interesting.
I think his website is very slow. I also noticed that, once the picture on the opening page was loaded, it was quite difficult to see the text linking the other pages.
Nice work. I did not find the site to be slow, but I'm at the office on high speed connection. The opening page, while dramatic, needs work. The text is almost unreadable because of the picture. Where is he located? The "contact us" page should at least list a city.

Thanks.
He's in San Antonio. I will tell him about the suggestions.
Looks like he's out in the country, maybe near Boerne."Put your creed in your deed." Emerson

And it needs a title, other than the generic TITLE..

Some of the photos are much too large. For instance the first picture in the gallery, the outdoor stair, is 304 x 266 pixels but it's almost 600K in size. It should be about 1/10 of that size.
Ken, tell your brother to get photoshop and use the Save for the Web function.
I have high speed and it took a few minutes. He also should not give away full size photos either.
He is doing nice work for a youngster!

First and foremost, the work is awesome and deserving of a website. Good luck to your brother.
I'm on high speed and the pictures downloaded quickly but I can see others having some serious problems. The photo on the front page is huge.
I also have issues with the web address - that's a mouthfull to remember. Is there something shorter he could use?
Great pictures!!
What would have helped me?
1. Put a colored box background behind each section title so you can see them easier. Example: "Woodworking"
2. A short caption around or under pictures to help with focus point of each picture.

Thanks for all the responses. Keep them coming.
Also, he is just starting to head this direction from more conventional jobs. What are some ideas for trying to market this type of work.
I moved from Texas about 13 years ago and wouldn't know where to start.
