Hitachi 12†Portable Cut-Off Saw, A…

Does anyone have any experience with this saw? I was recommended it for cutting an opening in a standard brick veneer wall. It’s about 1/5th the price of the gas powered varieties. Certainly it will be less powered, but for the odd job it seems OK. I’d also have future uses for it with an abrasive blade.
Am I nuts to try use this for going through a brick veneer wall, or do I need a gas powered?
Here’s the link to the saw: http://www.hitachipowertools.com/store_item.php?iID=143&arrPath=1,11,57,p143,
Thanks in advance.

Those electric saws are OK, but nothing compared to the gas saws. I rent a gas saw, with diamond blade as needed. Just figure the price of rental in the bid.
Are you down with OPP?
I have a 14" bosch that works great, also have a gas stihl. Unless I have alot to cut I use the bosch. Starts everytime no messing around. For what your suggessting as your needs, it will cut thru brick venneer like butter. I have diamond blades on all of mine but a abrasive blade will work for you
