Hey was just at Lowes picking up last minute things.
I had been wanting the little Hitachi 10.8v LiIon micro driver and drill, was $129.00 not paying that much.
Just bought it for 51 dolars and some change. Nice little tool pouch drill.

I own alot of Hitachi, only because I found a site that sells reconditioned items at a substantial savings. I've been very pleased so far, and some of them are reaching the one year mark. Sounds like you found a good deal.
Hey bud do you mind posting that site. I would like to take a look at what they have to offer.
reconditionedsales.com.............they are the bomb. I've gotten well over $600 worth of tools from them for under $300. They got here quick, and I couldn't tell the difference between the recon tools and new ones.
arc.........They also have a "seconds" category no cosmetic change s from orignal owners use but recon inside , really great deals for that guy on your crew who is allways saying oops, at a great price.
Entered the world of li-ion with 18 v 3ah combo kits recons. Other than looking like a transformer crossed with a tennis shoe a really good tool .
No doubt about the looks! And the performance.
I have the 18v LI 3AH hammer drill, impact, recip and circ saws. Oh, and the "light" they count as a tool in the sets.
Scored on extra batteries at a tool store moving sale... $20 ea. Each tool has it's own battery, with 1 spare.
Very happy with performance so far. Tons of grunt from all the tools and long run times. Ergonomics work for my hands... makita's are slightly more comfy but the Hitachi is not bad at all. Batteries charge pretty quick, even when hot.
Only nitpicks are that the light system is not trigger actuated like on Makitas... and it's difficult to aim. Bulb also casts a yellowish light, wish is was whiter. The belt hook is also somewhat marginal compared to other designs, but at least it has one. Oh, and the battery charging indicator on the charger... the graphics were designed by a nitwit... makes no sense at all!
FYI - I'm not a professional, just a serious DIYer/intermediate wood hacker, so take my comments with a gain/pound of salt, depending on your viewpoint of non-pros.
GS......."the graphics were designedby a nitwit".say amen to that . On two different orders the two chargers had reverse indicator symbols. I just charge them until the cooling fan ( nice feature) shuts off.
Often, I think reconditioned tools are much better.
More personal attention is paid to them.
I have no complaints with mine. I've still got a few under warranty, and I didn't have to spend a small fortune. I buy reconditioned every chance I get. I came across a Paslode recon dealer, as well, but it bugs me that they wont warranty their tools. I bought one, it still works fine, but I have second thoughts about anyone who wont stand behind their product, new or otherwise.
Well, having worked at a Real Tool store for several years...and have seen what tools come back for repair or return.
I'm just sayin' that reconditioned is often much better than new.
They tend to get more attention and come out better than new tools...just my opinion though...
