Great stand, made by TracRac. I have been using the 10" Hitachi dual slider/laser with this stand and I'm very impressed with the fit / finish and ease of use. It is simple to fold down, very light and compact. Great attachment clamps for the saw.

I have the C10FSH dual bevel SCMS. Does the stand have a proprietary fit with this Hitachi saw? I've heard many posts where carps loved a certain stand but had to modify the mounting bracket to make their particular saw fit.

The stand will adapt to all mitre saws. Very easy to connect and disconnect the saw from the stand.

If you are gonna use it for trim carpentry, I would say to make your own. For the cost of some plywood, hinges, and swivel casters, you can make a peice that not only suits your requirements, It is a silent salesman for you (provided you build it well. I have one that has fold down support arms with some scrap mahogany for a fence. It works very well, and everyone, especcially customers, are impressed by it. It is a little more akward to transport, but you can fit lots of tools in it.
Making your own is great, BUT there very heavy and the time you buy all the materials it is really not worth it. The Hitachi stand is all aluminum strong and light.

Yo, do you have plans? What you're suggesting might just suit my shop needs. I could always buy a portable for the field when they go on sale. Besides, I need a winter project - it's cold here already.

"it's cold here already"
I shudder to think....but... where the heck are you?
Hold on while, and I will get you a picture. Maybe tonight. AND BTW, it is not that heavy, one guy can easily carry it.
COLD? ALREADY? it was freakin 40 degrees here today.
40° Centigrade?

Yes. 40 degrees Celsius (As we say) 105 Farenheit. Pool weather!
Absent was a real summer here in mid-Michigan. We've probably seen 14 days of hot summer temps; the leaves are turning already. At least the lawn didn't burn up this year (high price to pay).
